Reverend Harrison holds a comprehensive educational background, including studies in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has completed the Pastor’s Alternative for Teacher Certification (PATC) and obtained Teacher Certification. Additionally, he is certified as a Volunteer Manager through the Arkansas Public Administration Consortium (APAC) and has received a Certificate in Administration from his studies at the Naval “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi. He is currently advancing his theological education at Andersonville Theological Seminary, working towards a Bachelor of Biblical Exposition.
With over 41 years of preaching experience, Reverend Harrison has dedicated 10½ years to pastoral ministry, serving first at Mt. Olive MB Church in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas, and then at Pilgrim Rest MB Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
In the realm of public service, Reverend Harrison has been employed with the Arkansas Department of Human Services for 23 years, progressing through various management roles. He currently serves as the County Administrator for the Pulaski Southwest County Office, leading a team of over 40 individuals in eligibility determination and clerical assistance.
His military background includes service in the United States Navy, where he held administrative roles and earned several accolades, including the Navy Achievement Medal and the Good Conduct Medal for his exemplary service.
Reverend Harrison was honored as the Associate Pastor of the Year by the Greater Little Rock Baptist Pastor Conference (GLRBPC), reflecting his significant contributions to the faith community.
He is a proud father of two sons, George H. Harrison, IV, and Jonathan Harrison, who reside in Atlanta, Georgia. His life’s work exemplifies a deep commitment to both spiritual leadership and community service.
